Aurelius Minerals Intersects 149.0 G/T Gold Over 0.7 Metres At Aureus East Project

Aurelius Minerals Inc. (TSXV: AUL) released this morning the drilling results from its recently acquired Aureus East project in Nova Scotia. The results highlighted a yield of 149.0 g/t gold over 0.7 metres.

The results come from 10 drill holes that are part of the company’s 10,000-metres phase 2 drilling campaign, which focuses on defining new gold mineral resources and expanding on the completed first phase of the program.

Highlights of the drill results include:

  • AE-21-026: 149.0 g/t gold over 0.7 metres, from surface drilling
  • AE-21-024: 13.9 g/t gold over 2.4 metres, and 17.72 g/t gold over 1.3 metres, both from underground drilling

The mining firm also shared that the hole AE-21-026 drilled a visible gold nugget from the intersection. “Finding huge nuggets like the one in hole twenty-six fuels our excitement for exploring in Nova Scotia,” said Aurelius Minerals Vice President for Exploration Jeremy Niemi.

The company said that the advanced exploration will focus on a 500 x 500 metre pocket proximal to the underground openings. Moving forward, future exploration programs will explore eastward and outward to grow the volume of rock with gold mineralization.

Full details of the drill results can be accessed here.

Aurelius Minerals last traded at $0.34 on the TSX Venture.
