Axie Infinity: The Short Of It.

Today, Steve finally gives in to talk about Axie Infinity (even if he doesn’t really play video games). Can you really earn money from merely playing games online?

Axie Infinity is basically a growing universe of games and systems that use characters called “Axies”. The characters and in-game resources can be sold as NFTs. But the game itself is a hybrid of card-based battles and turn-based combat.

To start, a user has to have Axies which can be purchased using ethereum through a crypto exchange. Players then use in-game tokens called SLP (smooth love potion) and AXS (Axie infinity shards) to buy farm, land, or breed Axies within the game’s economy. And since, these tokens have actual value, players can turn them into real, hard cash.

But if you’re like Steve, you might want to dive deep on the venture side of the whole game.
