Benton Resources (TSXV: BEX) continues to intersect high grade copper at its Great Burnt project in Newfoundland. The results of three drill holes were released this morning.
Highlights from the drill results include:
- GB-23-12: 25.42 metres of 5.51% copper, 21.82 g/t silver from 303.08 metres depth, including 9.78 metres of 8.31% copper and 15.15 g/t silver.
- GB-23-13: 4.63 metres of 2.26% copper, 3.54 g/t silver from 311.50 metres depth
- GB-23-14: 5.82 metres of 2.16% copper, 7.18 g/t silver from 359.90 metres depth, including 3.82 metres of 3.23% copper and 10.93 g/t silver
The highlight hole, GB-23-12, is said to be near the core of the high-grade lens found at Great Burnt, and is the deepest high grade intersection to date. The other two holes reported are believed to have intersected the up dip and down dip extension of this lens.
Assay results from eight holes conducted under the 2023 program remain outstanding. Benton meanwhile is said to be preparing for an upcoming drill program, which has the goal of expanding the known high grades within the deposit.
