At The Precious Metals Summit Beaver Creek, we sat down with Patrick Downey, President and CEO of Orezone Gold Corporation (TSX: ORE), to discuss the strongest mining-investor sentiment he has witnessed during his 40-year career.
Patrick outlines Orezone’s plan to grow from approximately 230,000 ounces of annual gold production toward 500,000 ounces through Bomboré, Casa Berardi and its permitted development pipeline.
We also discuss the Heva-Hosco project in Quebec, which Patrick believes currently receives no value within Orezone’s stock despite having the potential to command a billion-dollar valuation as a standalone junior company. Orezone acquired Casa Berardi and Heva-Hosco through its acquisition of Hecla Quebec.
Patrick also covers Orezone’s strong cash position, minimal debt, upcoming studies, drill results and the major production catalysts expected over the next year.
