Cognetivity To Deploy Flagship Assessment Tool At Florida-Based Clinic

The rollout of Cognetivity Neurosciences’ (CSE: CGN) flagship product, the CognICA cognitive assessment tool, continues. The firm this morning announced another arrangement in the United States, that will see the platform utilized at a clinic in Florida.

The clinic, Beyond Geriatrics, is billed as a specialist primary and urgent care clinic within Clearwater, Florida. The founder of the clinic, Dr Kimberley Evans, has nearly two decades under their belt with treating geriatric patients. The clinic has the ideal client base for the use of the cognitive tool, with the clinic already providing a form of screening for current brain health levels with its patients.

“We are excited to add Beyond Geriatrics to our growing client roster in the United States and are proud to have an industry leader like Dr. Evans utilizing CognICATM to help deliver better health outcomes as a result of earlier and more accurate detection of cognitive impairment,” said CEO Sina Habibi.

The arrangement will see the cognitive assessment tool utilized under a one-year licensing agreement at the clinic, with a three-year renewal option also provided. Financial details of the arrangement were not provided.

The development follows the news earlier this month wherein the company will begin studying the use of the tool for the detection of concussions from sport. The study is being undertaken in collaboration with Durham University, as the firm looks to expand the scope of use for its flagship product.

Cognetivity Neurosciences last traded at $0.29 on the CSE.
