Golden Cariboo Mobilizes Field Crew For Surface Mapping And Prospecting

Golden Cariboo Resources (CSE: GCC) is expanding its ongoing exploration program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property. The firm this morning disclosed that a field team has been mobilized to the property.

The newly mobilized team is expected to map and prospect along the north-northwesterly trend of mineralized showings at the property. The trend is currently known to extend at least 1.9 kilometres through the property, with the trend including both the historic Pioneer and Quesnelle Quartz mines.

Previously work along the trend identified the Halo zone, which saw surface samples assay as high as 5.08 g/t gold, as well as the North Hixon zone, which samples as high as 9.87 g/t gold from float samples. The intent of the current program is to identify further greenstone contacts and mineralization, while acting as a follow-up to a previously conducted LiDAR survey.

The field exploration is expected to occur along side currently drilling, with Golden Cariboo’s drill team presently focused on the North Hixon zone, where drill hole QGQ24-08 is currently underway. The hole is a 50 metre step-out from hole QGQ22-01, which intersected 0.87 g/t gold over 32.0 metres, including 4.04 g/t gold over 4.15 metres.
