Goldshore Resources (TSXV: GSHR) is reporting this morning the discovery of new shear zones at their flagship Moss Gold project in northwestern Ontario.
The discovery follows the company recently completing a 20,000 metre drill program at the project. Drilling conducted to the north of QES zone has reportedly identified the new shear zones. Drilling here is said to have been conducted as a follow-up to the discovery of the Superion zone.
Highlights from the results include:
- MQD-25-178: 0.59 g/t gold over 10.35 metres from a depth of 109.0 metres
- And 1.14 g/t gold over 6.0 metres from a depth of 138.0 metres
- And 0.64 g/t gold over 15.4 metres from a depth of 239.6 metres
- MQD-25-179: 1.52 g/t gold over 17.7 metres from a depth of 333.0 metres
- And 3.01 g/t gold over 6.85 metres from a depth of 436.0 metres
- MQD-25-180: 0.48 g/t gold over 22.0 metres from a depth of 185.0 metres
- And 1.36 g/t gold over 18.4 metres from a depth of 285.6 metres
The newly discovered mineralized shears are said to be contained within the existing conceptual pit. The discovery follows the targeting of a significant area beneath swampy terrain on the northern side of known shears. MQD-25-178 was drilled 300 metres to the west of the freshly discovered Superion Zone, while MQD-25-179 was drilled as a 160 metre step back from hole 178. MQD-25-180 was then drilled as a 200 metre step out to the west of the Superion zone along strike.

“Additional drilling to the west of the Superion discovery continues to deliver new mineralized shear zones on the northern side of the QES Zone within or near the conceptual open pit. We believe the definition of these new mineralized zones clearly demonstrates the emerging nature of the deposit as we continue to expand mineralization,” commented Michael Henrichsen, CEO of Goldshore Resources.
Goldshore Resources last traded at $0.32 on the TSX Venture.
