Further assay results have been released by Grande Portage Resources (TSXV: GPG) related to its 2020 drill campaign conducted at the firms Herbert Gold Project, located north of Juneau, Alaska. The additional results come from Pad T, the northern most pad on the property, and were released this morning, with the highlight being 20.70 g/t gold over 3.22 Metres within the Sleeping Giant vein.
Drilling at Pad T, part of the 8,375 metres drilled in total this season at the property, saw the testing of the North, Goat, Sleeping Giant, Ridge and Main veins. Drilling from this pad was largely designed to test the eastern limits of previously identified mineralization, with the easternmost hole, 20T-5, intersecting five metres of strong shearing and hydrothermal alteration, while also hitting 8.1 g/t gold over 0.43 metres.
Mineralization was intersected in multiple veins from this pad, with hole 20T-6 intersecting the Goat, Main, and recently discovered Sleep Giant vein. Highlights from this single hole include 15.27 g/t gold over 1.62 metres, along with 7.54 g/t gold over 1.07 metres within the Goat and Sleeping Giant veins, respectively.

The Main and Goat veins are the dominant structures within this region of the property, having what is described as extraordinarily strong and consistent east-west structures that have several satellite and associated splays. The sleeping Giant and Ridge veins are found between these two dominant structures, along with the North Strand of the Main vein. Mineralization found between the two structures is said to be shorter and not as predictable, yet features rich gold values that are expected to have a positive impact on the total gold resources of the project.

The 2020 drill program consisted of a total of 21 holes at a total length of 8,375 metres. The program consisted of two drill rigs, with holes drilled on numerous veins and subsidiary veins and structures. Further results from the program are anticipated to be released throughout November, December, and January 2021.
