Heliostar Discovers New Zone With 16.7 g/t Gold Over 16 Metres Intercept
Heliostar Metals (TSXV: HSTR) is reporting a new high-grade discovery at its Ana Paula project in Guerrero, Mexico. The discovery was made amid a drill program focused on step out drilling at the project.
Highlights from the results include:
- AP-24-313: 8.24 g/t gold over 6.05 metres from a depth of 388.5 metres in the High Grade Panel Extension
- AP-24-314: 16.7 g/t gold over 16.00 metres from a depth of 182.0 metres
The discovery was made between previously known zones that were targeted for testing, the Parallel Panel and the High Grade Panel. Further testing is required to define the extent of the new zone, however Heliostar says that it believes it could be one of several zones of mineralization that occur around the High Grade Panel.
“We took our most aggressive step-out shots with the first holes of the 2024 program at Ana Paula. The results show two critical points about Ana Paula. First, we believe the High Grade Panel can be expanded by over 115m down plunge. Second, that new zones of gold could be identified surrounding the main panel,” commented Heliostar CEO Charles Funk.
Drilling is said to be ongoing, with five holes completed to date across an aggregate 1995 metres. The first phase drill program is said to be 2,600 metres in size, while a second phase is to follow, consisting of 2,400 metres. Certain of the holes to be drilled meanwhile will be placed through potential mine stopes to collect metallurgical samples for an ongoing feasibility study.
Heliostar Metals last traded at $0.64 on the TSX Venture.
