Hercules Silver Hits 1,660 g/t Silver Over 11.3 Metres

Hercules Silver (TSXV: BIG) has released further assays this morning from its Hercules Silver property in western Idaho. The latest results come from shallow drilling conducted in the upper plate, which is above the new Leviathan copper discovery it made late last year.

Highlights from the results include:

  • HER-23-17: 112.2 metres of 193 g/t silver, 0.2% lead, and 0.4% zinc, including 11.3 metres of 1,660 silver, 0.7% lead, 1.75% zinc.
  • HER-23-19: 15.3 metres of 359 g/t silver, 0.4% lead, and 0.4% zinc.
  • HER-23-09: 32.2 metres of 167 g/t silver, 0.17% zinc
  • HER-23-22: 58.8 metres of 140 g/t silver, 0.43% lead, 0.69% zinc

The results are said to demonstrate a significant silver system that is found above the porphyry copper discovery, which may or may not be related. Grade and continuity of the silver system improves towards the Hercules Adit Zone, which follows a similar pattern as that of the copper system, which Hercules suggests may mean they represent different levels of the porphyry system.

“We’re encouraged to see another line of evidence for increasing grades to the northwest as we work closely with Barrick Gold Corporation’s senior technical team to plan our 2024 drill campaign. The program will be aimed at systematically stepping out on the Leviathan porphyry copper discovery as well as testing a multitude of new targets identified by our team,” commented CEO Chris Paul.

Exploration in 2024 is set to consists of three drill rigs that will conduct step outs from the discovery hole HER-23-05, as well as scout drilling of certain targets.

Hercules Silver last traded at $0.69 on the TSX Venture.
