iMetal Resources, Inc. (TSXV: IMR) came forth today with the assay results from the April 2021 field program at its flagship Gowganda West property in Northern Ontario. The program primarily focused on Zone 1 and Zone 3, and is to be followed by drilling and trenching operations.
The firm outlined a number of highlights from the program, including:
- Zone 1: grab sample values of 27.2 g/t and 16.35 g/t gold
- Zone 3: grab sample values of 67.9, 29.6 and 11.3 g/t gold
- A location approximately 400 metres to the northwest showed values of 3.72 g/t gold
Sample #167303 in Zone 3 came back with the highest values at 67.9 g/t gold, while sample #167014, also collected in Zone 3, came back with the lowest notable values of 1.1 g/t gold. Zone 3 had the highest assay values of the two respective locations. Zone 1 meanwhile saw samples collected “well to the west” of current known mineralization, suggesting a mineralized system exists on the property.
121 samples were acquired during April’s program, 26 of which returned values upwards of 0.1 g/t gold. Of the 26, 12 returned values higher than 1 g/t gold, while 5 of the 12 were more than 10 g/t gold.
