Interra Copper Completes Groundwork At Gail Showing, Assays Pending

Interra Copper Corp (CSE: IMCX) has completed ground and geophysical work at its flagship Thane property in British Colombia. The groundwork was conducted in conjunction with an exploration program focused on identifying a copper porphyry system.

Exploration was centered around the Gail Zone at the Thane property. Results from the field program thus far have supported the firms thesis of such a system being present, with relevant signatures reportedly being found through the program.

Included under the work program was a soil sampling program as well as the establishment of a grid. One focal point was a historical copper-in-soil anomaly initially discovered on the property in 1974, which is on strike with the Gail showing. Four lines in total were established over the anomaly and the larger Gail zone.

Historically, the anomaly has been noted to be 430 metres long by 60 to 240 metres wide, with soil samples on average indicating 733 ppm copper, with a maximum value of 2,100 ppm being assessed. Samples from the current program have now been submitted for assays, in hopes of receiving similar results. Notably, the company also indicated that it discovered native copper at the Gail zone.

“Our Thane property has continued produce the positive geological results we have come to expect after 9 years of investment in the project. The identification of 5 solid bulk-tonnage copper gold targets is a result of our own work and the work of number of accomplished junior and senior mining exploration companies. We are pleased to have completed further work on our Gail zone which has now become a top priority for next stage of drilling and exploration towards realizing value from this significant
potential.”

The Gail Zone is said to be a high priority target for the 2022 summer season.

Interra Copper last traded at $0.125 on the TSX Venture.
