Is Vice President Kamala Harris Gearing Up for A Recount?

The Harris Victory Fund quietly updated its donation page Wednesday morning to include a “Harris for President’s Recount Account,” signaling the possibility of triggering recounts in contested states, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Harris’s campaign has not commented on any recount plans. The Vice President conceded the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump on November 6.

The margins in key battleground states generally exceed typical recount thresholds. In Wisconsin, Harris trails Trump by 0.9% with over 95% of votes counted, while in Pennsylvania, the gap stands at 1% with 95% of ballots tallied. Both margins fall outside the parameters that would trigger automatic recounts in these crucial states.

While state laws provide various mechanisms for recounts — ranging from automatic triggers at specific thresholds to candidate-requested reviews — these options seem increasingly moot following Harris’s concession speech at Howard University. During her address, she focused on ensuring a smooth transition of power rather than challenging results, stating she was “full of gratitude” and emphasizing the importance of upholding democratic principles.

Should any recount occur, it would need to be completed well ahead of the January 6 congressional certification, where Harris herself, as Senate president, will oversee the formal tally of electoral votes.

However, given the current vote margins and Harris’s clear concession, such scenarios appear increasingly remote, and her campaign’s silence on the matter since November 6 further suggests that the recount preparations visible in their fundraising materials will likely go unused.

  1. It is not an impossibility that totals could have been “played with” a little. Since Mr Musk was able to give the totals 4 hours before they were formally reported and recorded, gave the use of his satellite to transmit said totals, and had a cozy 3-way phone conversation with Trump and Vladimir Putin, it seems a conflict of interest was the order of the day on the Republican side. Something really stinks here.

  2. What about the thounds of votes the thugs burned i still recount regarless of every thing else they pulled a scam i feel it in my bones no sane person would vote a criminal to coveren a country of poece ACT NOW RECOUNT.
