IsoEnergy Begins 30 Hole Drill Program In Eastern Athabasca Basin

IsoEnergy Ltd (TSXV: ISO) has begun a summer drill program consisting of 30 planned drill holes at its uranium properties in the eastern Athabasca Basin. Exploration is set to take place at two separate properties in its portfolio.

Twenty seven of the planned holes are set to occur at the Larocque East project, where 8,775 metres in aggregate are expected to follow up on results at what it deems Target A, while initial drill testing will occur at three more targets on the property. An ambient noise tomography survey meanwhile is currently underway to refine exploration targets at the project.

The remainder of the drill program is to occur at the firms East Rim project, where three reconnaissance drill holes are planned. The project will see 1,050 metre drilled in aggregate, targeting coincident geophysical anomalies on the eastern edge of the basin.

Helicopter and drone radiometric and magnetic surveys, along with ground ambient noise tomography surveys meanwhile are scheduled for the Cable, Rapid River, Madison, 2Z and Evergreen projects. IsoEnergy meanwhile recently entered into a purchase agreement with Critical Path Minerals Corp to acquire the Bulyea River project on the northern edge of the Basin, with airborne geophysics and data compilation planned to occur this year, in advanced of ground geophysics and drilling next year.

“With its ultra high-grades, the Hurricane deposit has a very small and discrete geological and geochemical footprint that was elusive to previous owners. Combining our deep understanding of the characteristics of drill holes proximal to Hurricane style mineralization and results from our extensive ANT survey along the prospective conductor corridor, we have generated multiple high priority target areas which will be extensively drill tested during this summer program,” commented Philip Williams, CEO of IsoEnergy.

IsoEnergy last traded at $4.20 on the TSX Venture.
