Maritime Resources Announces 40,000 Metre Drill Program At Hammerdown

Maritime Resources Corp. (TSXV: MAE) announced today that it has initiated a fully funded, expanded exploration program at the Hammerdown Gold Project in the Baie Verte Mining District of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The program highlights 40,000 metres of exploration drilling and additional geophysical surveys on the site.

The expansion consists of 30,000 metres of drilling in an area near the Hammerdown and Orion gold deposits that targets resource expansion, and 10,000 metres of drilling to drill test several new regional targets including Whisker Valley and Gull Ridge.

During Martime’s 2020 exploration program, the company discovered two new gold zones adjacent to Hammerdown and Orion gold deposits. The results included intercepts of 6.9 g/t gold over 6.0 metres and 22.7 g/t gold over 0.4 metres.

Exploration activities are currently underway within the region, known as the Hammerdown Deformation Zone. The company plans to work outwards to new high priority targets throughout 2021 and into 2022.
