CloudMD Software & Services (CSE: DOC) this morning announced the appointment of Mark Kohler to the role of Chairman of the Board. Kohler, a seasoned entrepreneur within the tech space, originally joined CloudMD in mid-March when he came on as a director.
Kohler is a well seasoned health and tech entrepreneur, with over thirty years of experience under his belt. Most recently, he served as a director for VersaPay Corporation (TSXV: VPY), a digital payments firm that was sold in a private transaction in February for $126 million. VersaPay however wasn’t Kohler’s only win, given that he was serving as executive chairman of QHR Corporation when it was sold to Loblaws (TSX: L) for $170 million in 2016.
Kohler’s extensive work history has included roles as an entrepreneur, investor, financial executive and board member at numerous healthcare, tech and financial industry organizations that are leading within their field. Throughout his career he has largely been focused on M&A, shareholder engagement, and good corporate governance.
CloudMD Software and Services last traded at $0.81 on the CSE.
