New Found Gold Drills 18.23 g/t Gold Over 6.75 Metres At Jackpot
New Found Gold (TSXV: NFGC) is reporting that it has further extended the recent Jackpot discovery at depth following drilling that was focused on the new discovery. A total of 18 drill holes saw results released this morning, targeting the Jackpot and Everest zones.
Highlights from the results include
- NFGC-23-1523: 6.75 metres of 18.23 g/t gold
- Including 1.55 metres of 73.76 g/t gold
- NFGC-23-1581: 2.80 metres of 1.13 g/t gold
- NFGC-23-1696: 9.75 metres of 1.43 g/t gold
- NFGC-23-1710: 2.00 metres of 1.57 g/t gold
While the company pushed the high grade intercept, it should be noted that 4 of the 8 holes specifically targeting the Jackpot zone failed to intersect significant values. Nevertheless, a high-grade gold domain over a strike length of 75 metres has been defined at the zone, which starts at surface and extends to a depth of 100 metres and remains open.
