Outcrop Gold Corp (TSXV: OCG) this morning released assays from its ongoing drill program at its Santa Ana project in North Tolima, Colombia. The results come from a newly discovered shoot that has been named San Juan, wherein the company hit highlight values of 1.79 metres of 1,329 g/t silver equivalent, consisting of 0.63 g/t gold and 1,274 g/t silver.
The San Juan shoot is reportedly 150 metres north of the Roberto Tovar shoot, which is found within the same vein system. The shoot is the first blind shoot discovered by the company, while it provides what the company refers to as a “favourable occurrence density” of two large shoots that are within less than 600 metres of drill tested vein.
Drilling at San Juan thus far has reportedly only reflected the southern margin of the shoot, with the central core of the shoot not yet reported on. The target is currently expected to be similar to the makeup of the Roberto Tovar shoot, with intercept thicknesses perceived to increase within the core along with the potential for grouped parallel veins.

The current drill program has seen a total of 67 holes drilled to date over 11,486 metres, with further drill holes are in progress and assays remain pending for six holes, some of which are from the recent San Juan discovery. The company will be focusing on drilling the San Antonia target once the El Dorado, San Juan and Roberto Tovar targets are defined along the surface. Further, the company plans to conduct an additional 4,600 metres of drilling in early 2021.
