Patriot Battery Metals Begins 45,000 Metre Drill Program At Corvette

Patriot Battery Metals (TSXV: PMET) has begun its winter drill program at its flagship Corvette property in the James Bay region of Quebec.

The drill program is expected to amount to at least 45,000 metres of drilling, in what the company deems the largest lithium drill campaign in Quebec. Current plans call for the program to include at least ten drill rigs, which will be on site from January through to April.

The program, which will rely on a winter access road so as to reduce drill costs, will focus on infill drilling at the CV5 pegmatite to improve the geological model and to enable the upgrading of resource categories. An updated estimate is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of the year.

It was also noted that 125 drill holes from prior drilling are still waiting on assay results, with that drilling coming from both the CV5 and CV13 pegmatites.

Patriot Battery Metals last traded at $7.98 on the TSX Venture.
