Ramp Metals (TSXV: RAMP) has completed their spring drill program at the Rottenstone SW property in Saskatchewan. The program saw a total of 20 drill holes conducted across an aggregate 4,942 metres of drilling, alongside airborne geophysics.
The program saw drilling split across three separate zones on the project, although the amount of holes said to be spread across three zones doesn’t add up to the total number of holes conducted. The bulk of drilling, or ten holes, were conducted at the Rush target, followed by eight holes at Ranger and three at Rogue.
Drilling at Ranger saw seven holes conducted as follow up drilling to the previously intersected 73.55 g/t over 7.5 metres in hole Ranger-001 last year. All seven holes are said to have intersected significant widths of quartz-diorite, which hosted the mineralization found in the discovery hole. The final drill hole conducted here was placed 1.5 kilometres to the north-east, targeting a conductor identified from airborne geophysics, however it was only drilled to a depth of 200 metres as a result of time constraints.

At Rush, the ten drill holes conducted were focused on a newly identified VMS target. Semi massive to massive sulphides were identified within five holes. Of note here, hole Rush-010, which was a 150 metre step out to the north-east from the initial discovery area, intersected 4.16 metres of semi-massive sulphides at a depth of just 21.4 metres.
Finally, three holes were conducted at the Rogue target, which were designed to test structural and conductive targets in a region where soil samples previously assayed as high as 530.7 ppb gold. Pyrrhotite and pyrite mineralization is said to have been intersected within two of the three holes. Drilling was limited as a result of permits, but further drill testing is said to be warranted here.
Airborne geophysics, including a magnetic and TDEM survey, were completed across the remainder of the Rottenstone SW property as well. Geophysics totaled 3,342 line-km, which was flown at 100 metre spacing.
Ramp has stated that every metre from the drill program is expected to be assayed, while an amendment to the current permits in place is to be submitted to allow for up to 30,000 metres of drilling. Ramp also intends to prepare a 30 person camp for further exploration.
The company intends to conduct further exploration on site, particularly mapping and sampling, once results are received from the airborne geophysics and the drill program, and forest fire risks subside.
Ramp Metals last traded at $1.72 on the TSX Venture.
