Restarting America’s Highest Grade Silver Mine | Heather White – Sunshine Silver

At The Precious Metals Summit Beaver Creek, we sat down with Heather White, CEO and Director of Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Company (NYSE: SSMR), to discuss the planned return of Idaho’s historic Sunshine Mine.

More than 400 million ounces of silver have already been produced from Sunshine, but another 264 million ounces remain defined at an average diluted grade exceeding 1,000 grams per tonne. Heather explains why the company considers it North America’s highest-grade silver resource and how it supports a base-case mine life of approximately 24 years.

We also discuss the project’s economics, including an estimated NPV exceeding $2.2 billion at $60 silver, approximately $600 million of existing installed infrastructure and the company’s target of reaching first silver production by the end of 2028.

Heather also outlines three upcoming feasibility studies, a new mineral resource estimate expected in early 2027 and Sunshine Silver’s transition from a private company to an NYSE-listed silver developer.
