Spirit Blockchain Capital (CSE: SPIR) this morning announced that they are launching what they deem as the next step of their strategic evolution, Spirit Blockchain 2.0.
The evolution will see the company transition to an yield generating digital asset platform that is integrated across multiple segments. The platform is to bring together active treasury management, institutional grade infrastructure, and regulated financial products under a public-markets structure. In short, the company is transitioning from a passive asset holding to an operating blockchain-focused enterprise.
“Our 2.0 strategy is anchored in one idea: we’re no longer holding crypto for exposure—we’re engineering it for earnings. With a regulated asset manager in Switzerland, a high-performance digital treasury, and proprietary tokenization infrastructure, we’re setting a new standard for what a public blockchain company can be,” commented Lewis Bateman, CEO of Spirit Blockchain.
While the broader strategy may be changing, some aspects are remaining the same, including an emphasis on yield-focused ETP products under Spirit’s Swiss-regulated entity. With Ethereum and Solana Yield ETP’s currently trading, future launches may include a Bitcoin Yield+ ETP, alongside crypto DeFi baskets and real-world asset products.
In addition to regulated ETP’s, Spirit is set to launch SpiritReserve Group, which will be a diverse, actively managed portfolio of digital and tokenized assets such as gold, copper, are rare earth elements. Spirit aims to raise $100 to $500 million in capital across several phases for this initiative, which will deploy strategies such as staking, hedging, structured product issuance and institutional lending with support from Spirit’s ecosystem partners.
“MicroStrategy proved the case for passive Bitcoin. Spirit is building something fundamentally different—designed for income, with analytics, compliance, and tokenization at the core,” continued Bateman.
In a similar vein, Spirit is focusing efforts on their treasury operations, which will see the company amass bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Doge, XRP and Vaulta, which will then be leveraged into high yield strategies such as staking, lending and liquidity provisioning, and AI and quant-driven hedging models.
Moving forward, Spirit Blockchain 2.0 is set to derived revenue from multiple streams, including treasury yield income, ETP management fees, SpiritReserve yield and hedging revenues, and from initial tokenization revenue from SpiritLinQ onboarding. Those revenues are expected to begin generating in the near term.
“We’re an operating fintech with real infrastructure, real returns, and real regulation. Spirit Blockchain 2.0 is blockchain finance done correctly: it is performance-driven, compliant, and designed/built for institutional demand,” stated Bateman.
Spirit Blockchain last traded at $0.045 on the CSE.
