Stone Gold (TSXV: STG) has a new head honcho. The company announced this morning that John Timmons has been appointed as both President and CEO of the company. The transition is effective immediately, with former President and CEO Brian Howlett remaining with the company as a director.

Commenting on his own departure, director Brian Howlett stated, “While I am stepping down from my role, I have full confidence in John and his vision for Stone Gold. I will be remaining with the company as a director as we continue to develop our Mount Jamie North Project in the Red Lake area, and the Glenrock Gold Property in the Batchawana area.”

Stone Gold last traded at $0.15 on the TSX Venture.
