Talamore Gets Green Light to Complete Coffee Access Road Ahead of Q1 2027 Investment Decision

Talamore Mining (TSX: TALA) has received a primary permit under the Yukon Resource Road Regulations, the final approval needed to complete the Northern Access Route serving its flagship Coffee gold project.

The permit covers construction of roughly 29 kilometres of new road, the missing links in a 214-kilometre all-season corridor that ties Coffee into Dawson City and the territorial highway network. About 180 kilometres of the route already exists as public highway and useable private road, while another five kilometres requires realignment.

Crews have been upgrading and realigning existing sections since June under earlier authorizations, and can now build the connecting segments.

Two primary mine licences remain outstanding for the Coffee Project. The Type A Water Licence is in its public comment phase, which closes September 15 and will be followed by a public hearing, while the Quartz Mining Licence is finishing the Detailed Information Request stage before the Yukon Government prepares a draft. Both applications have been in regulatory review since November 2023.

“Securing this final critical infrastructure permit represents a pivotal milestone for the Coffee project, allowing for the delivery of materials and equipment required for construction and satisfying a key regulatory requirement as we advance toward full construction of the Yukon’s next gold mine,” said chief executive officer Tim Warman, who added that both authorizations are expected ahead of a final investment decision scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

Talamore announced a $638 million project financing package earlier this year. A 300-person construction camp is arriving by barge this summer, a new airstrip is due to be operational before year-end, and feasibility study results are expected in the first quarter of 2027.
