Tiger Gold Hits 234.5 Metres of 1.2 g/t Gold at Tesorito

Tiger Gold (TSXV: TIGR) has pulled two of its strongest holes yet from the Tesorito deposit, part of the Quinchía Gold Project in Colombia’s Mid-Cauca belt, with both intervals grading more than double the deposit’s average resource grade.

The infill drilling targeted the same section line as a hole reported earlier in June, and together the three are said to now trace a continuous, higher-grade corridor of intrusive-hosted gold mineralization that remains open to the northwest and at depth.

Highlights from the latest assays:

  • TSDH-88: 1.2 g/t gold over 234.54 metres from a depth of 2 metres,
    • Including 2.3 g/t gold over 26.57 metres
  • TSDH-87: 1.0 g/t gold over 180.3 metres from surface
    • Including 1.3 g/t gold over 66.5 metres

TSDH-88 ran through a broad diorite body and underlying porphyritic andesite, where vein density and sulphide content build toward the centre of the hole, a pattern the company reads as growing proximity to a more intensely mineralized part of the porphyry system. TSDH-87 cut a mineralized intrusive breccia and a high-temperature vein assemblage, which Tiger interprets as another marker of a nearby fertile intrusive centre.

“TSDH-87 and TSDH-88 are among the best holes we have drilled at Tesorito, each returning long composite intervals at grades more than double the 0.47 g/t Au average grade of the deposit’s Inferred Mineral Resource,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Vallis. He added that the results will feed directly into a year-end resource update aimed at converting a significant portion of the deposit to the indicated category, and will inform 2027 engineering studies.

Three rigs remain turning, two at the Ceibal target and one at Tesorito. Results from TSDH-89, drilled further northwest along the corridor, are pending, with additional assays still outstanding from both deposits.

Tiger Gold last traded at $0.80 on the TSX Venture.
