Trump Media & Technology Group is attempting to create an entirely new revenue stream by selling institutional investors faster access to information that already exists publicly.
The company announced Truth API, an enterprise data feed scheduled to launch on August 1, offering licensed customers near real-time access to posts from the platform’s most influential accounts, including posts from President Donald Trump, whose statements have repeatedly influenced equity, commodity, and currency markets.
According to a Reuters report, the service is designed for organizations where delays in receiving information carry financial costs, including banks and algorithmic trading firms.
The company says enterprise clients will receive posts more quickly than users relying on conventional Truth Social notifications. It also plans to provide historical archives dating back to 2022 and continuous monitoring of the platform’s highest-profile accounts.
Pricing has not been publicly disclosed, although Trump Media says customers have already signed agreements.
The commercial appeal stems from the market impact of Trump’s own communications. Since returning to office, Trump has frequently used Truth Social to announce tariff decisions, comment on international conflicts, discuss trade negotiations, and address economic policy. Several of those announcements have produced immediate reactions across equities, oil markets, currencies, and Treasury securities.
For firms operating algorithmic trading strategies, even milliseconds can determine execution prices. Rather than selling exclusive information, Truth API sells earlier machine access to public information.
Good god, just open monetization of insider trading from the President

The announcement immediately generated criticism on social media, with some users characterizing the product as a form of monetized insider trading.
Under current US securities law, insider trading generally requires trading on material nonpublic information in breach of a legal duty. Truth API distributes information that is intended to become public, albeit more rapidly to paying enterprise customers. Reuters reported that legal experts said tiered information services are generally lawful even if critics view them as unfair.
The larger debate instead centers on ethics and conflicts of interest. Trump remains the dominant figure on Truth Social, while a trust holding roughly 41% of Trump Media’s shares ultimately benefits from the company’s commercial performance.
Senator Ron Wyden criticized the initiative, arguing it allows Wall Street firms to pay for faster access to presidential communications that can move financial markets.
Truth API also represents another attempt by Trump Media to diversify beyond its core social media business. The company has expanded into financial services, cryptocurrency initiatives, and other adjacent businesses while seeking new recurring revenue sources. Reuters reported that the API is the company’s first major data licensing product, moving it closer to businesses traditionally associated with financial market information providers rather than consumer social networks.
