Arctic Star Concludes Spring 2022 Diamond Exploration Program

Arctic Star Exploration (TSXV: ADD) has completed its spring exploration program at its flagship Diagras Diamond Project, found in the Northwest Territories. The firm conducted drilling, airborne, and ground geophysics under the spring program.

In terms of geophysics, a total of 3,294.5 line kilometers were flown under a phase two program. The program reportedly generated numerous kimberlite-targets that merit further exploration. Ground geophysics meanwhile consisted of magnetic and max-min electromagnetic surveys on Class A and Class B targets. 27 magnetic surveys in total were conducted for 239.6 line-kilometres, along with 117.3 line-kilometers of Max-Min surveys on 16 targets.

Drilling meanwhile amounted to a total of nine holes for an aggregate 1,098 metres. Three of those holes were focused on two new exploration targets, while six were focused on the Sequoia complex that was discovered last year. Notably, the program discovered the Arbutus kimberlite, as previously announced.

Drilling at Sequoia saw holes drilled at depths ranging from 102 to 225 metres, while the new targets were drilled at depths ranging from 57 to 102 metres. 504 metres of kimberlite in total were intersected at Sequoia, while 41.4 metres was intersected at Arbutus. 1915 kilograms of core is to be sent for caustic fusion analysis from Sequoia, along with 147 kilograms from Arbutus.

Results from the drill program are expected to be received from mid-July through to the end of August, based on timelines provided from the diamond laboratory.

Arctic Star Exploration last traded at $0.09 on the TSX Venture.
