Argo Blockchain Produces 214 Bitcoin In December 2021

Argo Blockchain Plc (Nasdaq: ARBK) reported today its operational updates for the month of December 2021. The crypto firm produced 214 bitcoin for the month, up from 185 bitcoin produced in November 2021.

The monthly production is roughly valued at US$10.6 million as of the time of writing, down from last month’s US$11.2 million. This also brings the total bitcoin mined for 2021 at 2,045 bitcoin.

As of the end of December 2021, the firm holds a total of 2,595 bitcoin or bitcoin equivalent.

At a bitcoin and bitcoin equivalent mining margin of 83%, the company earned a mining profit of US$8.7 million for the month. This compares to a mining margin of 86% and mining profit of US$9.6 million last month.

The firm also saw a huge change in the fair value of digital currencies during the month, amounting to US$24.7 million, compared to last month’s US$10.0 million. This leads to the firm notching a US$1.0 million realized loss on the sale of digital currencies in December 2021.

Argo Blockchain last traded at US$10.92 on the Nasdaq.
