Aura Minerals Produces 267,232 Gold Equivalent Ounces In 2024
Aura Minerals (TSX: ORA) this morning released preliminary production results for the fourth quarter, while indicating it has achieved its 2024 guidance.
The company in Q4 saw production of 66,473 gold equivalent ounces across its four operating mines. Production during the quarter consisted of 6,987 ounces of gold, 146,187 ounces of silver, and 9.4 million pounds of copper.
Production was down 3% on a quarter over quarter basis, while down 4% on a year over year basis, based on current pricing of metals. On a constant pricing basis, gold equivalent production was down 1% on a quarter over quarter basis, while year over year production was flat for the quarter.
For the full fiscal year, Aura produced 267,232 gold equivalent ounces, meeting its guidance of 244,000 to 292,000 gold equivalent ounces. Production in 2024 consisted of 26,578 ounces of gold, 539,532 ounces of silver, and 37.0 million pounds of copper.
On a mine by mine basis, Minosa and Almas exceeded guidance with 78,372 and 54,129 ounces of gold equivalent production, respectively, while Aranzazu met guidance with 97,558 ounces produced. Only Apoena failed to meet guidance, with 2024 production of 37,173 gold equivalent ounces produced.
“We ended 2024 at the upper end of our production guidance with 267,000 GEO at current prices, marking a 13% increase from the previous year. Also in 2024, we made significant progress on the Borborema construction, staying on schedule and aiming for ramp-up by the end of Q1 2025. We’ve also acquired a new world class project for development in Guatemala,” commented Rodrigo Barbosa, CEO of Aura Minerals.
Aura Minerals last traded at $17.01 on the TSX.
