Avant Brands Reports Resignation Of Chief Financial Officer

Avant Brands (TSX: AVNT) has seen its chief financial officer call it quits. The company last night announced that its CFO, Kendra Blackford, has resigned from the company effective November 30.

The resignation reportedly follows Blackford “pursuing an exciting career opportunity” which is outside of the cannabis sector. An immediate replacement has not been named by the company.

Blackford has been with the company since 2018, starting out with the firm as a Controller before moving into the interim role of chief financial officer a year later. That role then turned permanent, before she ultimately resigned this week.

The departure appears to be on good terms, with Blackford commenting that Avant is “in a strong financial position,” with the firm thanking her for her service as well.

A search for a full time replacement has begun for Avant, with an interim CFO not yet named by the company.

Avant Brands last traded at $0.375 on the TSX.
