Aya Gold & Silver Drills 0.90 G/T Gold Over 8.5 Metres At Imiter Bis Drill Exploration

Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (TSX: AYA) announced today initial assays from its 2021 drill exploration program at tits Imiter bis property in the Kingdom of Morocco. The results highlighted an intersect of 0.90 g/t gold over 8.5 metres.

The results came from the program’s 33 diamond drill holes, with six drill holes still pending. The recently completed program covers around 4,381 metres.

“This discovery supports our view that numerous opportunities exist within the permits to advance new targets and add new low-cost ounces to the Company’s resources,” CEO Benoit La Salle said.

Highlight assays from the drill results include:

  • IM-DD21-014: 0.90 g/t gold and 19.6 g/t silver over 8.5 metres
    • including 1.81 g/t gold and 40.0 g/t silver over 2.2 metres
  • IM-DD21-013: 2.74 g/t gold and 1.0 g/t silver over 1.0 metre
  • IM-DD21-010: 2.24 g/t gold and 12.0 g/t silver over 0.9 metres

The mining firm said that the initial results point to “the presence of both [gold and silver] in the system.” It plans to carry out a follow-up drilling on the northern extension and untested targets in the property around Q2 2022.
