Blue Jay Gold (TSXV: JAY) has released the first assays from its 2026 drill program at the Skukum Creek deposit in southern Yukon, with the standout hole pushing known high-grade mineralization deeper than any previous drilling on the property.
Highlights from the initial tranche include:
- SC26-003: 6.15 g/t gold and 124.0 g/t silver over 14.0 metres from a depth of 495.0 metres,
- Including 7.84 g/t gold and 154.0 g/t silver over 10.5 metres from a depth of 498.5 metres
- And 12.00 g/t gold and 258.0 g/t silver over 4.40 metres from a depth of 499.6 metres
- SC26-001: 4.63 g/t gold and 74.0 g/t silver over 4.33 metres from a depth of 444.63 metres
- MS26-001: 57.40 g/t gold and 44.1 g/t silver over 0.50 metres from a depth of 160.8 metres
Assay results were released for the first five holes, the first batch out of a program that continues to drill. True widths are estimated at 60% to 80% of the reported downhole intervals.
SC26-003 was collared to test 32 metres down-plunge of SC21-027, a 2021 hole that returned 14.8 metres of 5.79 g/t gold and 100.9 g/t silver. It returned comparable width, grade and silver-to-gold ratio, which is what underpins the company’s case that the zone carries at depth.

“SC26-003 confirmed mineralization greater than 30 metres down-plunge with equivalent width, grade and tenor — evidence of followable continuity, not isolated hits,” said chief executive officer Geordie Mark.
MS26-001 tested Mt. Skukum, which produced 77,790 ounces of gold between 1986 and 1988. A fourth hole, SC26-004, deviated off target and will be re-drilled.
Alongside the gold work, Blue Jay has been drilling the Becker-Cochran antimony prospect on the same 170 square kilometre package, and has more than 400 kilograms of stibnite-rich material undergoing metallurgical testing at ALS in Kamloops, British Columbia.
Further Skukum Creek assays are pending.
Blue Jay Gold last traded at $0.80 on the TSX Venture.
