DLP Resources Hits 0.32% Copper Equivalent Over 1,080 Metres In Peru

DLP Resources (TSXV: DLP) is reporting a wide intersection of mineralization at its Aurora porphyry copper-molbydenum-silver project in Peru. The intersect is part of a deep drill program being conducted at the property this year.

Highlights from the results include:

  • A24-016: 0.32% copper equivalent (0.15% copper, 0.0318% molybdenum and 1.41 g/t silver) over 1,080.15 metres from surface
    • Including 0.82% copper equivalent (0.09% copper, 0.1397% molybdenum and 0.62 g/t silver) over 216.15 metres from a depth of 864.0 metres
    • Including 0.48% copper equivalent (0.31% copper, 0.0003% molybdenum and 20.03 g/t silver) over 89.0 metres from surface

Drilling is said to have ended in molybdenum mineralization, with copper, silver and molybdenum mineralization intersected throughout the length of the hole. Mineralization is said to have been encountered in hornfels and early porphyry throughout the hole, with the first 89 metres of drilling encountering weak copper enrichment as well.

“A24-016 confirmed shallow copper mineralization in the eastern sector and we continue to expand the footprint of copper-molybdenum and silver mineralization at Aurora. Two drill rigs are currently drilling A24-017 and A24-018 in the northeast and southwest zones and we expect to extend copper-molybdenum mineralization in these areas,” commented CEO Gendall.

DLP Resources last traded at $0.265 on the TSX Venture.
