Dolly Varden Silver (TSXV: DV) has encountered a significant gold intercept as part of their 2025 55,000 metre drill program. The intercept occurred at the Homestake Silver deposit in step out drilling.
Highlights from the results include:
- HR25-456: 3.34 g/t gold over 120.0 metres from a depth of 409.0 metres
- Including 216 g/t gold over 0.52 metres
- And including 166 g/t gold over 1.3 metres
“These gold results from a step-out hole at the Homestake Silver Deposit confirm that the deposit continues to grow beyond the current mineral resource estimate. These results demonstrate the strength of the high-grade gold system, potentially a separate and overlapping event from high-grade silver mineralization at the deposit; this deposit is potentially a key driver of future project development,” commented Dolly Varden CEO Shawn Khunkhun.
Hole HR25-456 was a 45 metre step out along strike from hole HR24-433, and 30 metres up-dip from home hole HR24-451, both of which were drilled under the 2024 program. The hole has confirmed continuity and growth potential outside of the current mineral resource envelope. The deposit is said to remain open to expansion, with mineralization vectoring towards the Homestake Main deposit, which is found along strike to the north of the Homestake Silver deposit.

The 55,000 metre 2025 summer drill program remains ongoing while nearing completion, with five drill rigs currently operating as part of the program. Drilling at Homestake Silver focused on both expanding and infilling areas of high grade gold mineralization, with drilling also testing outside of the current resource area.
Dolly Varden Silver last traded at $7.29 on the TSX Venture.
