Emerita Resources Hits 30 Metres Of 3.03 g/t Gold At Depth

Emerita Resources (TSXV: EMO) continues to expand its La Romanera deposit at its Iberian Belt West Project at depth. The firm this morning released assay results on four drill holes, which at depth expand the deposit to 450 metres wide.

Results from the four drill holes saw three holes intersect “significant mineralization,” while the fourth hole intersected massive pyrites.

Highlights from the results include:

  • LR020: 0.3% copper, 0.5% lead, 0.9% zinc, 1.24 g/t gold, and 58.6 g/t silver over 16.6 metres in the lower lens
  • LR024: 0.9% copper, 3.8% lead, 6.6% zinc, 1.21 g/t gold and 129.7 g/t silver over 10.7 metres in the upper lens, and 0.5% copper, 0.6% lead, 0.5% zinc, 3.03 g/t gold and 67.6 g/t silver over 30 metres in the lower lens
  • LR028: 0.3% copper, 2.0% lead, 7.3% zinc, 1.06 g/t gold and 94.9 g/t silver over 4.4 metres in the upper lens

The three holes are said to have been aligned along a similar elevation of 225 metres at depth in an east-west line, with LR024 being the center hole. All three holes are said to have been located out of the historically drilled area of the deposit, thereby extending mineralization to a strike length of at least 450 metres at depth.

“Drilling to date carried out by the Company shows the existence of two semi-parallel massive sulphide lenses, which appear to merge to the west, and importantly appear to continue at depth below the present drilling. The strike extent also remains to be fully tested. At depth below approximately 500 m below surface both lenses remain open for further expansion potential with additional drilling,” commented Emerita President Joaquin Merino.

Emerita Resources last traded at $0.85 on the TSX Venture.
