Filo Mining Intercepts 1,449 Metres Of 0.41% Copper

Filo Mining (TSX: FIL) continues to hit extensive intervals of copper mineralization at its flagship Filo del Sol Project in Argentina.

Highlights of the drill results include:

  • FSDH093: 0.41% copper, 0.21 g/t gold, 5.0 g/t silver over 1,449.2 metres from a depth of 338.8 metres
    • Including 0.55% copper, 0.25 g/t gold, 8.6 g/t silver over 652.0 metres from 492.0 metres depth
  • FSDH094: 0.59% copper, 0.40 g/t gold, 15.0 g/t silver over 1,298 metres from 192.0 metres depth
    • Including 0.84% copper, 0.53 g/t gold, 9.4 g/t silver over 304.0 metres from 444.0 metres depth

The two holes were drilled over 500 metres apart, and are said to fill “critical high-grade gaps” that existed in the geological model of the deposit. Notably, terminating at 1,886.6 metres depth, hole FSDH093 is the deepest hole conducted to date by Filo, and stopped in a low grade porphyry. The results are said to suggest that Filo may yet still be missing an important part of the system.

With the onset of summer, we have moved the drills into frontier exploration areas while continuing to dedicate some metres to Aurora Zone expansion. This mix of targets will allow us to systematically advance the project and evaluate the entire property,” commented Jamie Beck, CEO of Filo.

The company currently has nine drill rigs underway at the project.

Filo Mining last traded at $21.25 on the TSX.
