Fortuna Silver Mines Intersects 20.2 G/T Gold Over 18.2 Metres At Séguéla Project

Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (TSX: FVI) announced today the results from the exploration program at the Sunbird prospect in its Séguéla gold project in Côte d’Ivoire. The highlights include intersecting 20.2 g/t gold over 18.2 metres true width.

The exploration drilling at the property aimed to advance the Sunbird prospect. The recently completed program consists of 7 drill holes covering 1,887 metres.

Highlight intercepts from the 7-drill hole results are:

  • SGRD1374: 20.2 g/t gold over 18.2 metres true width
  • SGRD1373: 13.4 g/t gold over 18.9 metres true width
  • SGRD1375: 7.7 g/t gold over 14.0 metres true width.

The mining firm decided in September 2021 to construct a 3,750 tonnes per day open pit mine at the Séguéla gold project, targeting first gold pour in mid-2023.

Fortuna Silver Mines last traded at $4.50 on the TSX.
