Galaxy Digital Sees Venture Fund Raise $325 Million

Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd. (TSX: GLXY) announced today that its affiliate, venture fund Galaxy Interactive, was able to raise $325 million of committed capital. The company said the funding round was participated by over 70 new limited partnerships.

Out of the raised funding, the firm has invested and earmarked nearly $150 million for new portfolio companies.

With this recent funding, the venture fund now has $650 million in combined assets under management. On the other hand, Galaxy Digital has $2.2 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2021.

Galaxy Interactive is led by General Partners Sam Englebardt and Richard Kim. It was established in 2018 to fund companies in the “interactive” sector, which it defines to be the intersection of content, finance, and technology.

Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd. last traded at $20.83 on the TSX.
