Gatekeeper Systems Receives Purchase Order For $5.1 Million

Gatekeeper Systems (TSXV: GSI) has received a major contract this morning. The company has obtained a purchase order from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority, or SEPTA, a long time customer of the firms.

The purchase order relates to transit bus video upgrades and mobile data collector upgrades. Pegged at US$3.95 million, or C$5.08 million, the contract is one of the largest received from SEPTA to date.

Described as one of the largest transit systems in the United States, SEPTA currently services five separate counties in the Greater Philadelphia region. The firm also represents Gatekeepers largest customer, with relations with the company dating back to 2018.

Historically, the company has provided the company with video systems solutions for its trains and buses, as well as wireless connectivity, server upgrades and more. Prior to todays announcement, the company has received a total of $22.5 million in purchase orders from the authority.

Installation under the latest contract is expected to be completed before October 2022.

Gatekeeper Systems last traded at $0.37 on the TSX Venture.
