Gatekeeper Systems Signs $1.9 Million Contract To Upgrade School District’s Bus Fleet

Gatekeeper Systems (TSXV: GSI) continues to expand upon relationships with existing customers. The firm this morning indicated it has received an additional contract from a customer within the state of Florida.

The new arrangement will see Gatekeeper work with a school district in Florida to upgrade its entire school bus fleet. Systems to be installed include mobile data collectors, 360 surround vision systems, along with interior video. The transaction is said to represent a full-fleet upgrade.

The total value of the contract is said to be C$1.9 million.

“Our 360 Surround Vision System provides a surround view of the school bus that is displayed on a specialized rear-view mirror allowing the driver to monitor school children anywhere around the bus. Protecting school children when near school buses is of paramount importance for school districts and this innovative solution is attracting interest from our customers,” said CEO Doug Dyment.

The details on what school district specifically was receiving the full school bus fleet upgrade were not provided.

The transaction follows the company signing a $1.2 million contract with a school district in Tennessee this past August to retrofit an entire bus fleet.

Gatekeeper Systems last traded at $0.23 on the TSX Venture.
