GMV Minerals Begins Environmental Studies For Mexican Hat Project

GMV Minerals (TSXV: GMV) continues to prove out its Mexican Hat project in Cochise County, Arizona. The company yesterday announced that it has begun environmental baseline studies, the results of which will be used to support the development of the gold project.

Work on the environmental studies for the project have commenced with the appointment of SRK Consulting to conduct the studies. The firm is to perform desktop reviews and the required fieldwork for the studies.

More specifically, the baselines studies are expected to provide the required environmental analysis for the development of a potential mine. Included aspects of the study include project design, regulatory permitting, and a national environmental policy act analysis for the project.

“The initiation of field-level baseline data studies with SRK marks the next step in the development of the Mexican Hat gold project. By integrating baseline data collection into this stage of planning, GMV will maximize the value to the benefit of both our shareholders and the local community.”

Ian Klassen, CEO of GMV Minerals
