Golden Cariboo Resources (CSE: GCC) has hit a major intersection of gold mineralization at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in British Columbia. The intersect was made as part of a step out to the Halo zone to the northwest.

Highlights from the results include:

  • QCQ24-20: 341.96 metres of 0.71 g/t gold and 6.96 g/t silver from a depth of 20.12 metres
    • Including 236.88 metres of 0.99 g/t gold and 9.77 g/t silver
    • Including 137.17 metres of 1.45 g/t gold and 16.05 g/t silver
    • Including 23.20 metres of 4.61 g/t gold and 86.26 g/t silver
    • Including 11.95 metres of 7.36 g/t gold and 164.95 g/t silver
    • Including 4.29 metres of 16.35 g/t gold and 9.09 g/t silver

The hole represents the most northwestern drill hole conducted to date on the property, with the Halo zone now having a body measuring 320 metres by 290 metres by 320 metres. Mineralization is said to remain open to the northwest and at depth, which includes 718 metres of untested strike.

QCQ24-20 notably intersected a major fault along a greenstone contact, which marks the first time that the Halo zone has been associated with a greenstone contact. The Halo Zone, as well as the Quesnelle Quartz Mine, are both found within a multi-kilometre trend that extends across the entire property.

“Drill hole QGQ24-20 capped off a remarkable year, stepping out 100m and delivering another exceptional intercept that affirms the Halo zone as a major discovery in the Cariboo Gold District. Greenstone contacts host many of the world’s premier gold camps, and we have now identified one only 4 kilometres from a major highway and community in central British Columbia. The next chapter of another bedrock source of the long and storied Cariboo Gold Fields is now being written in Hixon,” commented Frank Callaghan, CEO of Golden Cariboo.

Golden Cariboo Resources last traded at $0.14 on the CSE.
