Golden Cariboo Intercepts 8.3 Metres of Semi Massive Sulphides Under Drill Program

The first drill hole has been completed by Golden Cariboo (TSXV: GCC) under a 5,000 metre drill program being conducted at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Property in British Columbia. The hole, assays for which have yet to be completed, is said to have intersected multiple new semi massive zones of mineralization.

The zones are said to have been intersected above the 200 level of the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine, while the hole also identified a southeast extension of replacement mineralization below the mines 400 level. The zones are found within the Main Zone at the property, along the western edge of a 1.8 kilometre anomaly identified in airborne magnetic surveys.

The largest intercept is said to measure out at 8.3 metres, consisting of up to 60% pyrite. The intercept is said to include a 0.4 metre mineralized quartz vein, found in a previously untested area above the 200 level of the mine. The vein is located 50 to 60 metres vertically below surface, and is said to correlate with a 75 metre long high grade ore zone, with mineralization open at depth.

Golden Cariboo also indicated that it had intercepted a total of at least four mineralized quartz veins, which are located partly within a series of drifts or mined stopes of the Koch Tunnel area.

The 5,000 metre drill program is set to expand on the success seen in the firms fall 2022 three hole drill program, which had highlight intercepts that include 4.76 g/t gold over 4.7 metres in hole QGQ22-02, and 3.25 g/t gold over 1.3 metres in hole QGQ22-01 within partial assays.

Golden Cariboo Resources last traded at $0.09 on the TSX Venture.
