Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon Is Playing At This Year’s Lollapalooza

In case you missed it, David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) has been moonlighting as a DJ since 2015. What’s more, it’s just been confirmed that he’ll be playing at Lollapalooza in July.

He’ll be performing alongside acts like Metallica, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, and Green Day at the four-day music festival in Chicago. The festival recorded an attendance of 400,000 in 2019.

Solomon, who until June played under the alias D-sol, regularly DJs at nightclubs in Miami and New York. He recently played at Sports Illustrated’s Super Bowl Party with Kygo, Jack Harlow, Frank Walker, and IRIE.

The CEO has close to 36,000 followers on his music Instagram account (yes, there’s a separate one from his main account where he’s usually in a tie), and over 630,000 monthly listeners on Spotify where he’s released a few singles.

The CEO shared that he “kind of stumbled into it as a hobby, and now I just do it for fun” on a Goldman Sachs podcast in 2017. All proceeds of his music go to charitable institutions in the fight against addiction through Payback Records, a record company that he founded in 2018.
