Harborside Appoints Matt Hawkins As Interim CEO
Harborside Inc (CSE: HBOR) this morning announced that it is shaking things up at the management level. The company as part of its ongoing restructuring plan has seen the appointment of a new interim chief executive officer.
The change will see interim CEO Peter Bilodeau step down from the role immediately as the firm continues along its path of restructuring. In his place will be that of Matt Hawkins, whom is currently chairman of the company, as well as a managing partner of Entourage Effect Capital.
Commenting on the process of restructuring, Hawkins stated, “While our work is not yet done, we have made great progress in a short period of time, adding an iconic consumer brand to our portfolio, expanding our cultivation capacity, and building a solid balance sheet to support our growth. On behalf of the entire team, I’d like to thank Peter for his contributions during his time with Harborside.”
Also appointed this morning to the executive team is that of Ahmer Iqbal, whom will be taking on the role of chief operating officer. Formerly the CEO of Sublime, which was recently acquired by Harborside, Iqbal will be focused on building the firm into the “preeminent California focused cannabis company.”
Harborisde Inc last traded at $1.60 on the CSE.
