Hive Blockchain Records 234 Bitcoin Growth In August 2021, Orders 3,000 Miners For 2022

Fresh from reaching its 1 EH/s hashrate mark, HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd. (TSXV: HIVE) announced today that it has mined 234 more bitcoin in August 2021 compared to the previous month. In addition, the blockchain company also reported its fresh order of 3,000 MicroBT WhatsMiners expected to add a total hashrate of 294 PH/s.

The 3,000 bitcoin miners, which will be a mix of M30S, M30S+ and M30S++ machines, will be delivered in 12 equal tranches of 250 miners per month from January to December 2022. The firm relayed that the overall hashrate boost of these purchased machines is expected to generate approximately 67 more bitcoin per month once fully delivered.

In August, the crypto firm has agreed to acquire 1,800 Antminer S19j Pro mining rigs from Bitmain Technologies scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2022. Currently, the company operates at over 1 EH/s producing approximately 225 bitcoin monthly.

Along with the purchase announcement, the company also reported its 1,000th bitcoin in hodl and now currently holds over 1,030 “green and clean bitcoin” in cold wallet custody.

The digital miner has previously announced its goal to reach over 3 EH/s by the end of fiscal 2022.

HIVE Blockchain Technologies last traded at $4.21 on the TSX Venture.
