Kontrol Tech Investigating Potential BioCloud Patent Infringement

Kontrol Technologies (NEO: KNR) is reportedly investigating a potential patent infringement on its BioCloud technology. The revelation was quietly included in an unrelated news release made by the company this morning.

The patent infringement is said to come from “certain competitors in the marketplace,” although the company did not name the offender specifically. Kontrol continued that it “will protect its patents and technology for the benefit of its shareholders.”

Kontrol currently holds two patents in relation to its BioCloud tech, while a third is said to be pending. The first was received in April, US patent No. 11,619,571, and pertains to a collection chamber for an air sample system. The company filed three patents in the US and one in Canada back in November 2020.
