Maxar Technologies: Russian Military Convoy Near Kyiv Stretches for 40 MILES

New satellite images show a Russian military convoy near Kyiv stretching for 40 miles, substantially larger than previous thought.

According to Reuters, which cited satellite images captured by US-based private company Maxar Technologies (TSX: MAXR) on Monday, it appears that a convoy of Russian military equipment just north of Kyiv now stretches for about 40 miles, or 64 km. Previously, the company reported that the convoy was only about 17 miles long.

Maxar Technologies also announced that more ground forces and ground attack helicopter units were deployed to the southern part of Belarus, merely 20 miles from Ukraine’s border.
