New Found Gold Hits 21.4 g/t Gold Over 8.05 Metres In Step Out Drilling

New Found Gold Corp. (TSXV: NFG) today announced assay results from nine holes drilled at the Keats Zone. The holes were drilled as part of the 200,000 meter diamond drill program at the company’s flagship Queensway Project located west of Gander, Newfoundland.

The company outlined the following highlight results attributed to the drilling program:

  • Hole NFGC-21-204 intersected 21.4 g/t gold over 8.05 metres, 14.9 g/t gold over 12.9 meters
  • Hole NFGC-21-94B intersected 11.69 g/t gold over 3.80 metres
  • Hole NFGC-21-141 intersected 11.17 g/t gold over 7.00 metres
  • Hole NFGC-21-165 intersected 20.74 g/t gold over of 2.05 metres

The intersections in drill hole NFGC-21-204 reportedly represents a 40 meter down-plunge step-out to the southern part of the property. The Keats high-grade zone has been drill defined over 465 meters in the down-plunge direction to date, with the zone remaining open and further step out drilling to the south and north being conducted.

Four drills are reportedly conducting step out and infill drilling at Keats currently.

New Found Gold Corp. last traded on the TSX Venture at $12.65.
