Nouveau Monde Raises US$59.4 Million Via Public Offering, Plans To Raise Additional US$14.8 Million Via Private Placement

Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. (TSXV: NOU) has raised US$59.4 million in the previously announced underwritten public offering. Evercore ISI, BMO Capital Markets, B. Riley Securities, and Stifel GMP acted as book-running managers for the offering.

Through the offering, the company was able to raise the gross proceeds from 7,915,000 common shares at US$7.50 per share. The financing included the partial exercise of the over-allotment option by the underwriters.

Following the closing of the offering, the graphite firm is looking to complete a non-brokered private placement for aggregate gross proceeds of US$14.8 million. The company plans to raise the funds by selling a maximum of 1,978,750 common shares at US$7.50 per share.

The company relayed that the net proceeds from both offerings are intended for developing the Matawine and the LiB anode plant projects, as well as for general working capital and corporate expense needs.

Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. last traded at $9.98 on the TSX Venture.
